Project name: GPS and cadastral data collection for CONPET’s pipelines

Beneficiary: SC CONPET SA, the national operator of crude oil, gasoline and liquid ethane pipeline transmission system
Project details: CONPET project consisted in creation company’s GIS. Thus, the administration, design, maintenance activities related to the fluids transmission system was improved, for over 3.300 km of pipelines. The project was carried out in several stages:
- creation of the enhanced geodetic network
- identification of the existing pipelines route and their survey (total length of the pipelines: more than 3.300 km)
- processing of measurements
- geo-physical studies: soil aggressivity and resistivity along the pipelines route
- creation of the digital cadastral and topographic plan
- creation of the GIS database for these objectives
- uploading of the GIS database
- development of five software applications (for generating transversal and longitudinal profiles on the pipeline, for design optimization and for the administrative division)
