Project details: The Agricultural Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS) is an essential element of the Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS), which Romania had to implement as a member of the European Union. IACS is a complex IT structure supporting the administration and control activities carried out by the Agency of Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) regarding farmers’ claims for direct payments from the European Union. In this project, GAUSS performed digitization of 794 administrative territories, of nine Romanian counties, for the total area of 58.687 square kilometers.
